Every one of the above devices must employ a "detector". Some devices have an internal detector, some use an external detector. The next table summarizes the external radiation detectors available from Ludlum Instruments. The devices above must be matched to a detector from the table below, for the meter to produce accurate values.

After viewing a number of Ludlum Models, it has become apparent that there has been much variation of each model over time.
The appearance of a given model number will depend upon the serial number. Here are some examples
