   3. Spitfire History

-

This car was built in Coventry, England. This Spitfire has spent most of its life in Sunnyvale, CA.

In 1972, I drove it straight into a redwood tree, coming down Idlewild Dr. from the Doobie Brothers, or was it
Hot Tuna, at the Chateau Liberte just below Summit Rd. The imaginary cop behind me never did catch me. I hurt my knee on the dash, though. Had to get a new bonnet, and have the frame straightened. Anyone remember Captain Whizzo? I drank beer and shot pool with the Angels. Super music. No cover.

In 1974, I installed a secret antitheft device of my own design, when I worked as a tech at National Semiconductor. Careful! You could hurt yourself.

It has been in Santa Cruz since 1998, away from the beach and salt spray. It was originally sold by Giorgio dealership in Illinois or Indiana?

Who keeps a car for 51 years?

No Bumpers
In 55 years, they tend to get lost. They are so LOW, the bumper of every other car on the road is way above, and goes right into the body, without any bumper contact.
.

Just Think of It!

Buy a car for $6 K, put in another $ 8K,
and you MIGHT get a car worth,

are you ready?,

about $ 6K. SUCH A DEAL!

Nah, I wouldn't buy it.
But I might sell it.

   6. Waiver

-

I would like a complete waiver from the buyer, that I will not be held responsible for any injury that he may suffer, due to his ownership of this car.

It really should have a
roll bar. It is pretty stable on flat ground, due to the low center of gravity, but hit a curb too fast, and over you go. Its that transverse leaf spring in the rear. Scary.
