Intended as a serious academic "white paper". This is a Google survey of individual consensus. Here is a list of bad companies, as defined by a search on Google - "searchterm sucks". Double quotes are used to get results for the exact phrase only.

What better way to avoid a bad company. Learn from those who have been there, gotten mad, and want to tell you. My assumption is that anyone who has had such a bad experience that they actually created a web page to warn others, was probably VERY poorly treated, to be so highly motivated.

We would all do well to listen to them, don't you think? I subscribe to the philosophy, "Where there is smoke, there is fire". Especially, when there are thousands of plumes of smoke.

In general, the larger the company, the more the complaints. The Ratio Column below attempts to qualify this.
Service companies reign supreme as the worst offenders. Their corporate execution is apparently very poor.
All data is INSTANTLY verifiable by yourself. . . . Thanks, Google.

The Aubuchon Hypothesis:
The quality/ performance of a large company is inversely proportional to
the number of "companyname sucks" pages appearing on the internet.

Comcast is the worst large company, according to Google. So far, anyway.

That's all there is to it.

Simple. Revealing. Democratic. The voice of experience. Unsolicited. Gotta be good!

Sure. The B. of A. is much bigger, but just look at the complaints.
The Bank of America is 500 times worse by this measure than Fleet Boston - that must mean something.

I haven't had this much fun in a while.
Personally, I don't care for the current overuse of the words "suck" and "sucks".
Actually, I detest the words, probably caused by a generational gap.

But in this data-gathering exercise, suck seems to be the modern default word to express anger and disgust.
No other word search produces as many results, or such universal, consistent results.

Really offensive high-ranking terms have been purposely omitted for the sake of good taste.
If you want to know how those words rank, type them in yourself.
(I need to keep this page clean so everybody can read it.)
