Here is a summary of the August 2011 Comcast rate increases, for the San Francisco Bay Area.

I created this guide because of the confusing Comcast bill.
1. Comcast hides the increases by using a complicated bill format.
2. Most people won't take the time - so I have done it for them.
Modem rental is up 40 %!
Service Protection Plan is up 37 %!
Internet Sales tax is up 24 %!
Hd Technology Fee is up 14 %!
Franchise Fee is up 9 %!
Digital Starter Package is up 9 %!
Digital Classic is up 6 %!

And you still get
1. channels missing in action,
2. frequent frame freezes,
3. incorrect program guide,
4. channels with no sound,
5. channels with too loud, too quiet sound
6. channels with loss of sound sync
7. terrible TCM picture quality
