History Summaries

The purpose of this page is two-fold.
1. I am trying to find certain high school yearbooks, to purchase, and
2. To provide a high school photo for anyone interested. Would you like to have a high school yearbook picture of someone? A high school annual graduation photo, perhaps?

I have (or am seeking) the following high school annual yearbooks -

1938 - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (seeking - Doris)
1939S - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (Treasury - Irene Shephard)
1940 - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (seeking - Dorothy)

1960 - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (seeking)
1961 - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (seeking)
1962 - Hamilton High School Yearbook, Los Angeles, CA (seeking)

1. Send me an email, with the person's name, and probable high school graduation date.

2. I will check through the high school annuals listed above.

3. For $40, I will scan their photo, blow it up to an 8x10" glossy, and put 2 copies in the mail to you. Advance payment only - at this price, I can't waste my time and efforts (time, scanning, ink, paper, envelope, postage, handling, etc.)

4. What do you think? Obviously, I am not doing this to make money, but just to make a very select few folks really happy.

Note that yearbook photos use the "half-tone" (dots) method of printing, so the resolution is not very good. This effect is amplified when the photos are enlarged. But hey, any photo is better than nothing, right?



Here is a sample from the Summer 1936 Hamilton High Yearbook in Los Angeles, my Uncle Tom (small size) -

I don't know how to eliminate the vertical scan bars in the photo above. I think it is an artifact resulting from the half-tone photo process being scanned.
