The acronyms are shown for each screen resolution. Relationships are shown between the megapixels, aspect ratio, and number of color bits. Monitor megapixel resolution is determined by multiplying the vertical pixels by the horizontal pixels. Aspect ratio indicates the screen rectangle shape.
