The most important thing I found out, when I did a Canon A-series digital camera comparison, is that the A85 is actually a DOWN-graded A80.
The A80 (obsolete) had the good sensor, and now the NEW A85 has the poorer sensor.
Some camera experts have suggested that this was a VERY BAD (deceptive) move by Canon.
You are made to believe that that you are getting an Upgrade, when you are actually getting a Downgrade.
The A85 went on sale at Costco yesterday. Buyer beware!
